Waiting for the Daylight

The moon, it had me captured

In all its glorious light

and with my feet still on the ground

I slipped into the night

Drowning in its halo, 

I let its sparkle catch my eye

I let the moon entice me

Sucking my soul into the dark sky

The seconds seemed like hours

As I floated above the ground

till the north winds sent me spinning

So high, I could'nt tell down

I began to lose my senses

To touch, to hear to feel

I saw the truth in reality

The light of the moon was unreal

Disappointed, I sailed the night sky

Praying my faith would find the sun

Knowing that my journeys purpose

Is especially in this divine union

I drift now and meander

through the streets of empty space

Waiting patiently for the daylight

and the miracle

my soul is waiting to embrace.
