MAN MADE GODS

Some say HE is, Some say HE is'nt, Some say THEY are, Some say there's ONE, Some say HE was the son, Some say it is the SUN, Some say it's a HE, Some say HE is really a SHE.............How opinionated are we..........Really ???

We created our Gods' to worship

We called them different names

We created doctrines to please them

and "faith" became the name of this game.

Our doctrines allowed us to judge...

...all those from a different "faith"

Our doctrines gave us the power

to Shun- To Curse-  TO HATE

We first created Adam 

and then we created Eve

we placed them inside paradise

To get tempted by the evil tree

We created perpetual suffering

for our souls upon this earth

We put the stamp of original sin

on every soul at birth

We put God into Books

to control the mind of man

We appointed so-called "righteous Ones"

To convey to us Gods' plan

We follow our priests and our prophets

for we fear the dark image of hell

We fear society will ostracize us

In this fear our whole lifetimes we dwell

The books say, God said this

The books say, God said that

and if you want to go to heaven

You have to follow "our" format

You must pick ONE book to follow 

then throw away the rest

Just trust that your chosen prophet

is the one that knows God the best

Most often you follow your ancestors

and never really question your beliefs

if your grandfather was a christian

then you'll just go to the cross to grieve

Why does man feel the need to figure out God

Why does man even feel that he can

Why does man think that God can't communicate

without a holy book, or through a holy man ???

Why is mankind so disconnected 

from the true essence that feeds through his soul

When will we realize life's a journey

where neither death nor heaven is the ultimate goal.
