The Gang Rape of Mother Earth

As I begin this, I feel the tears well up, fighting to flow, to escape. My soul begs the same- I hear its pounding between the heart beats as thoughts and realities of our species dance in my head. The dance is dark, cultish, in humane, almost demonic, with political leaders dominating the ritualistic sacrifices that have been sponsored by big bellied corporate giants, who lurk around in the dark shadows, around the ceremony afraid that the blood from the sacrificial victims will stain their crisp white collared shirts, Yet, you hear their hollow voices chanting the evil hum. They are here to avail the power, waiting to devour the most sought after part of the animal..... its heart.

I am sometimes distraught that I am human..... a species which despite having the ability to be the most enlightened, intelligent and spiritually elevated, we have somehow greedily strayed from our own true purpose. We have become materialistic little leprechauns chasing the rainbow not to seek out its beauty, but to look for the pot of gold hidden underneath. We measure life in terms of money and wealth in terms of land. We own, we acquire, we rule, we discover, we explore, we destroy the land which we think belongs to us, where as in fact, we fail to simply realize we belong to it, dust to dust. We kill for religion and ignorance, anger, hate, money, power, or we kill simply because we can.

In the olden times, we fought for lands and kingdoms. Then we fought because some of us thought we were more superior than the other. The white man syndrome came slaughtering the native americans and enslaving the black man, Hitler who decided the meaningless extinction of the 12 million Jews in concentration camps across Europe, We've witnessed 30 million people sacrificed by the red guard's in the chinese cultural revolution under the governance of Mao, 17 million people killed by orders of Stalin, 1 million Tutsi's slaughtered in Rwanda, 2 million cambodians in the reign of Pol Pot, 1.6 million Koreans purged in concentration camps in the North and millions more in Afghanistan, East Timor, Japan, Turkey, the middle east and Africa have been wiped out in some of the worst genocides of the nineteenth century. In addition, there have been nuclear attacks, drone attacks and terrorist attacks, making us the most evolved species in terms of weaponry, war fare and mass murder, but perhaps the least evolved in terms of our spirituality.

We substituted co-existence with governance, then blatantly took over the earth as rulers, destroying everything that came our way. We wiped out other species by thousands and hundreds of thousands, hunting them down with weapons, cruelly ripping out the hearts of the young in front of their defenseless parents. Killing animals, and torturing them for our own greedy gains. The Koreans torture dogs to death before ripping them apart, alive, to maximize the dogs fear so the adrenaline rushed meat can taste good and is helpful for the male virility. The Japanese mass murder thousands of dolphins every year by poking them to death. The Canadians massacre the highest number of mammals on the planet in their annual seal hunt, where they usually skin over 300,000 baby seals alive, then slice off the male seal penis to ship to Japan where they consider it an aphrodisiac, these Japs seem to have serious penile problems. Do we ever draw the line on our torture techniques? What is the level of darkness that has taken over our species? With the introduction of firearms and increased mobility, the balance between man and nature has rapidly been altered in favor of man and in many cases at the expense of nature.

We have choked the oceans and marine life with our never ending chemical waste, we have destroyed rain forests and habitats of thousands of species driving them to extinction, we've looted and plundered the earth, fought each other for her resources but we cant still seem to satisfy our voracious appetites.

My fellow human kind: We have gang raped our sweet mother Earth, we have ignored her cries, but remember, she's Mom, and one day she's going to stand up and slap us so hard across our faces, our teeth will fall out.

Listen to the spirit of the earth.
