Dancers of the light

I have waited for you half a lifetime
In my subconsciousness you reside
I feel the heat when i feel you
In my minds eye, huddled close by my side

Its the touch of your hand that i long for
As you wipe the wild hair off my face
I see your heart as you gaze in my eyes
Which is warmer than your warmest embrace

I would often look up at the night sky
and search for the twinkle of love
Waiting for my sun to rise
shining rays like wings of a dove

I waited almost every morning
For the flowers in my garden to bloom
though the birds were still chirping merrily
In the leaves of my trees, hung a gloom

I noticed the trees were dispirited
They were being shadowed by the front wall
even though the sun shone around them
Its direct touch they did not have at all.

Its this light that makes this world go around
That will bring me closer to you
In the light once again our souls will dance
Forever, and In our next life too.
